Hey guys,
Chuck inadvertently reminded me that I need to get back on getting some assessments put together for fall. UofU and Snow have both expressed interest in a fall assessment. Beginning mid-September, are there any weeks between then and Thanksgiving that are no good for people? UtahSAINTcon or whatever it's called now is October 20 - 23, so that week is likely out. Who's all going to it this year?
If we planned for a September/early October assessment and then tried to fit another one in either early/mid November or the week after Thanksgiving would that work for most everybody? If so I'll start contacting schools and see what we can get set up. If trying to fit two in during fall semester is a stretch, we can put one off, but then we'll have to get three done in the Spring.

I'm still undecided on SAINTCon this year, but watch out for Deer Hunt(s) and UEA. I'm doing rifle this year. I suspect you've got some flipper hunting you're doing in there too. Week after Thanksgiving is looking good right now.

So another bomb that got dropped today... The UEN board and leadership want an assessment done against UEN systems in September and want to know if the Higher-ed team can do it for them. I'll hear early next week if this for sure or not. I don't know details yet... how big the scope is, if this would be a 4.5 day engagement like usual or if we'd try to do this one in 3 or 4. Will let you all know as I hear more.
How do the weeks of September 15 - 19 or 22 - 26 look for you guys if we wind up being asked to do this?

Ugh... Do we really want to go get harassed at UEN HQ? ;) I'm good with the dates in Sept, if we do it.
Week of Oct 13th is maybe shaving it close for me. Mostly depends on when I can sneak out on Friday. I can do that week, if that's the best time for them. If they can do the first week of November, I would prefer it, but if not I'll just take two straight weeks off work!

UofU has offered the week of October 13th.
I have never heard anything definitive out of UEN... They were messing around with an RFP for an outside firm that kept coming back over their budget. I understand they wanted it this month. I suspect at this late point, we wouldn't be able to get a full team there in September.
Now that we are a little closer, how does the week of October 13th look for all of you at the UofU? I can go ahead and tell Dan that we'll be there or see if a week in early November will work. We can't use the UofU guys, so if its the week of the 13th we could use both Jon and Dave if UVU will let us, in November I could see if I could get Kelly Genessy (He's dying to get out on an assessment), but he wouldn't be available before then because of SAINTcon. Nate Henne could also be a possibility, haven't asked him yet.

I have never heard anything definitive out of UEN... They were messing around with an RFP for an outside firm that kept coming back over their budget. I understand they wanted it this month. I suspect at this late point, we wouldn't be able to get a full team there in September.
Now that we are a little closer, how does the week of October 13th look for all of you at the UofU? I can go ahead and tell Dan that we'll be there or see if a week in early November will work. We can't use the UofU guys, so if its the week of the 13th we could use both Jon and Dave if UVU will let us, in November I could see if I could get Kelly Genessy (He's dying to get out on an assessment), but he wouldn't be available before then because of SAINTcon. Nate Henne could also be a possibility, haven't asked him yet.
