Could we use this for the password cracker?

That looks like a cool little box... I'm not totally up on my video cards, but I think that's a little older card with fewer cores. Jon, do you know?
Think I had 3 x MSI GTX 980 (nvidia) + Mobo/RAM/CPU/SSD/Power Supply spec'ed before. 980s have 2048 cores apiece and are comparable to ATI 290x's but use a lot less power and therefore run cooler.

Think Andrew is right on the gtx cards. They seem to be the best bang for the buck now. I saw a benchmark saying they were 60% faster than the 290x's.

My bad. 23% faster than the 290x cards at half the power.

This just confirms that it has been way to long since I¹ve played with hardware at this level.

It looks exactly like the Xi3 paper weight I have on my desk. It's a total piece of $#!+ The customer service is bad, the hardware is bad. I'd go back to 2001 and invest all my money in Enron before I bought another. The result would be the same. ..except I would have a time machine to show for it...

Good to know. Thanks for the info Brother Chuck. If you end up building that Time Machine could I borrow it?
