Dixie Assessment - Logistics
Hey All,
I'm starting to get things together for the Dixie assessment. Still planning on January 25th - 29th. I'd like to get things more or less ready so I can turn you guys loose on us late this month for the pre-assessment reconnaissance and what not.
We need to get the team finalized so I can make hotel reservations; please let me know who's planning on coming from UVU, USU and UofU. I was planning on John Bullough from Weber, but I think we scared him too bad during the WSU assessment ;) He let me know last week he'd had his fill of higher ed and was leaving WSU, so there might be a need/opportunity for two to come from USU or UVU. SUU was thinking of sending two as well, so maybe we'll be covered. (Mark, can you confirm?)
Also, since it's Dixie, somebody else will need to write the report. I'm happy to help out where I can on it and will provide as much editorial support as possible, I just can't write it. We can work out who gets to be the lucky writer as we get closer.
Anyway we'll can get details worked out and get you guys authorized to start poking at us maybe right before the Christmas break.
Anybody planning on being at the NISST meeting in Salt Lake on Wednesday?

Sorry, got busy and took me a while to process everything. How about we proceed as follows for Dixie:
Team will be:
Mark Jon & Dave (assuming you can both still come) Jake Allen or Matt (you guys duke it out for whoever gets to come to St. George in January, next one will be SLCC March/April-ish,let me know soon)
Obviously I'll be there and can handle logistics for the strike package, sabotaging your efforts, face-palming, etc.
If something has changed with anybody's availability please let me know ASAP. I plan to make hotel reservations this week and will send you all details on that.
Also, will get your GOoJF paperwork done and date it such that you'll have the whole month of January for some remote reconnaissance beforehand.

We're in a little bit of a transition here at SUU. Our CIO announced his retirement effective Jan 15, 2016. We'll be reporting to a new VP starting then, and our org chart might be re-structuring a little too. I can definitely be there and am planning on it. I was going to introduce Josh (Who's your favorite teacher?) into the team, but that may change now with the re-org. I can still bring him if needed, but this might be the only one he ever goes on. I don't know how effective that will be to bring a new guy who might not come again. I'll have a better picture of SUU personnel available for assessments by mid-January.
So like I said, he's available if needed. But maybe the UVU dynamic duo of Dave and Jon might be a little more effective against the Dixie defenses.
I can also help with the write-up if need be.
SUU is planning on calling into the phone bridge for the NISST meeting.
